Crookabeck is situated in Patterdale, at the base of The Kirkstone Pass, in the Lake District National Park. We are close to Glenridding, Ullswater and The Eastern Fells of the Lakes. The landscape is dramatic, surrounded by mountain peaks and crags, well-worn footpaths, waterfalls and tarns.

Crookabeck is an ideal stop off point for the C2C (Coast to Coast) walk.

Beautifully positioned for some of the finest walks in the Lake District. Just yards from the Coast-to-Coast Path and Ullswater Way Footpath We are ideally located for mountain walking up Place Fell, Angle Tarn, Fairfield, Dove Crag, St Sunday Crag and Helvellyn, (which was voted as no.1 of Britain’s favourite walks)

Crookabeck wool shop is situated on the farm, which sells a huge range of wool products from Herdwick sheep and Angora goats. offers steam boat trips on Lake Ullswater.

There is The White Lion pub and The Patterdale Hotel in the village of Patterdale.  In the next village of Glenridding, there are 2 convenience stores, a great outdoor shop for outdoor equipment and clothing at Catstycam, several cafes, hotels and places to eat.  The Tourist Information Centre is situated near the main visitor car park in Glenridding.
